Well, they did it. Ballum are husbands! What a beautiful episode from Pete. So many references to past scenes, things said that needed to be said, and that new husband dynamic is unstoppable.
Screencaps for this episode can be found here.
The ep picks up right where it left off, when Ben having made it to the registry office. They look a vision underneath that floral arch. Our celebrant Jeremy assures them that they could do another day – perhaps referring to the fact that Ben’s stood there in his overalls. Lexi speaks for all of us though when she warns them, with conviction, not to even think about it. Ben gives her a little mock look of disbelief at her cheek, but is clearly thinking the same thing, with the look quickly dissolving into a smile. And as for Callum, we know he wouldn’t even entertain the idea of waiting. He reaches for Ben’s boutonnière to pin it on his overalls as Ben makes a quip about looking hot in them. And, you know, maybe Callum does think that – but I think the fact they’re quite baggy makes him look soft and vulnerable. And I think it was perfect that he got married in them. It’s Ben rushing to the registry office because marrying Callum was the most important thing. It’s Ben not only allowing himself to be vulnerable, but letting other people see that. And most importantly it reflects the fact that Ben’s realised he is enough. He’s enough for Callum, they’re enough for each other.
And also, as Vi snarkily points out, there’s also the Village People homage aspect of it too. And at their rainbow themed wedding, what’s a better symbol of pride than an outfit synonymous with queer culture? I love it.
Callum tells Ben that nothing will stop him from marrying him today, with that determination we all love. But Stuart sits nearby, still panicking that Phil will burst through the doors and do just that.
When we cut back to them, the ring exchange is already underway, as Callum repeats after the celebrant and pushes the token of his love and symbol of their marriage onto Ben’s finger. The little detail of it getting stuck, Ben joking and the pair of them laughing awkwardly about it gave it a sense of realism, the fact that it’s not perfect – but it’s them. They’re excited but also nervous because it’s such a huge moment. They get there in the end. Another shot of Stuart looking nervously back at the door as Jeremy asks if they have personal vows. Ben confirms with confidence and pats his overalls to find them… only of course they’re not there, they’re in his suit… which is lying on the bed back at the house.
Ben panics at this, insisting it matters when the celebrant tries to reassure him. He panics because what he wrote was thought out, planned, and speaking off the cuff is another layer of vulnerability. That, and he probably just doesn’t want to leave anything out. He might be in a boiler suit but this is the important bit, their personal commitment to each other. So, it matters to him a lot. But as he’s stressing out, his eyes land on Lexi, who’s looking like an old wise woman sat there, head held high. She knows he can do it; she heard him talk about his belief in love back in the Arches. Seeing her reminds him of that as well, and though he’s still a bit gutted that he doesn’t have the vows he wrote down, he mouths an apology to Callum – who of course tells him that it’s okay – clears his throat, looks to the sky for inspiration and holds his hands out for Callum to take, which he does instinctively (I’m taking that as a homage to Ben holding his hand out from the hospital bed post-siege, and Callum taking it and holding on.)
Ben begins with what’s in front of him; the best looking man he knows… and he knows a lot of men. That little joke makes Callum laugh (as well as the audience-in-a-can) and is just so… Ben. It brings him back to his comfort zone a bit, and allows him to continue with the sincere stuff. He recalls the night at E20 before their dalliance in the park – something he doesn’t quite know how to word, especially with Lexi there who he gives a glance to (thought Max played that perfectly). He just has to trust Callum knows what he means, and when he goes on to relay what he said to Callum back then, there’s no doubt that Callum knows, as do we all. That chat in the club (also written by Pete) was a turning point for them. It was a kinship, it was Ben giving Callum sincere advice and hinting that he felt something for Callum. He reminds Callum of the part where he said Callum sees him, gets him. And admits that he always has. And it’s true; Callum’s always had the knack of getting Ben to open up and be vulnerable and honest (even if sometimes it takes a while). Ben must have realised this the night of the flatwarming party, when he squinted up at Callum like he was seeing him in a new light – and then of course the following morning when Ben was embarrassed and defensive as a result.
And on that note, he acknowledges to Callum that he gets things wrong quite often, which leads into acknowledging that so does Callum sometimes. Which is what we want – Ben accepting that Callum makes mistakes, he has flaws. Not telling Ben about the undercover operation, and lying about it in January, shut Ben out, and was a choice Callum made. And Callum nods, like he knows and agrees. Ben makes it sound like a hypothetical situation when he mentions forgiveness, but Callum knows that Ben is forgiving him for hurting him – take that, Jack ‘the Mitchells don’t forgive’ Branning – and is grateful.

As Ben and Callum are partaking in the happiest moment of their lives and Stuart is anticipating a murder attempt on his brother, Kat is attempting to talk Phil down from going on a rampage, withholding his car keys. She’s managed to get him out of the car, which is something (and little bit of foreshadowing there too with Kat pushing against the bonnet to stop Phil going any further.) So now he’s ranting about a grass living under his roof as Kat tells him if he lays a finger on Callum, Ben will never speak to him again. Kat is so good in this scene, telling Phil things he needs to hear even though she and Ben aren’t exactly close mates. She seems to instinctively know that Callum must have done it for a reason (I’m sure Phil wasn’t forthcoming with that idea after all) and is trying to appeal to a better nature she knows is in there.
Phil tells her he treated him like one of his own, and Kat suggests that that’s maybe not what he wanted. And it’s true, isn’t it? Callum couldn’t care less about Phil, at least not back in September. He told Ben he could rot. And it stands out from all the other pseudo sons Phil’s tried to treat as one of his own, because Callum never wanted to be that. He was pleased to be part of the family, yes, but only because he loves Ben. Ben is his family.
Phil comments on her interfering, why she’s bothering if she wanted out of his life, and Kat tells him this is why they can’t be together – this tunnel vision, blinkers on, not willing to understand or think for a moment before heading out for revenge – look at the havoc that caused with Keanu, and she sees the damage it could potentially do for Phil and Ben’s relationship. Because she does care. She says she thought he’d changed (and to that I have to wonder… when? Is she referring to the time she got away with ratting him out to Stas and losing the business? Or not rising to Vi’s digs the week before?)
Anyway, Phil tells her she thought wrong. She pleads with him to let Ben and Callum be happy and let it go. She seems to think she’s gotten through to him, and turns her back on him to pour him a glass of water – but the second she does, Phil grabs the keys and is gone before Kat can even turn back round. Oop.
Back to the registry office, and Ben’s just finishing off his vows as he tells Callum that when he’s with him, he is better. He’s acknowledging the affect Callum’s had on him since that January 2020 reunion where he said Callum made him want to be better. He’s grown so much since then, and it’s nice to hear him acknowledge that. And not only is he better; he’s whole. Because that’s what love is to him, the support and the lifting each other up and holding each other together. There are quite a few references to being whole and complete in this scene, and that’s only the first.
After a few moments where they try to compose themselves and for Callum to take the words in, Ben says he’s done, suddenly all nervous and shy after such a heartfelt declaration; like he says, it’s not really him.
And like Callum’s said before, public speaking isn’t his thing either; but this probably doesn’t feel like it to him. After all, he’s barely taken his eyes off Ben since he arrived. He starts by commenting on Ben’s cheeky smile, said with such affection – and I swear, even though we only see the back of Ben’s head, he must pull a massive grin which makes Callum break off the way he does – and then the fact that Ben is ‘proper gobby’, something Ben can’t help but agree with, and also he knows that Callum finds that aspect of him very attractive. Lexi watches on with the most satisfied of smiles, proud of her proper gobby dad. And finally, Callum comments on how Ben is a bit broken, a callback to another scene Pete wrote, which is of course the iconic post-ILY bed scene, where Callum comments on how everyone’s a bit broken. So with him saying that to Ben, the implication is that ‘yeah, maybe you are, but we all are.’ And Ben’s little ‘yeah, that’s me’ shrug… ugh.
Then it’s Callum’s turn to remind Ben of what he said during that chat in the club, that whatever his head is telling him to always follow his heart – a piece of advice that Callum has clearly held dear to him, especially after he’s seen how much better his life is after following it. When Callum says he can’t hear anything else today, he means his heart, singing out so loudly to him because he is where he’s meant to be, stood there opposite Ben.
The cut to Lexi loudly opening her rainbow handbag just as Callum says this is perfect, especially with her trying to be discreet but catching Jay’s attention, who whispers at her to wait. And another shot of Stuart glancing at the door to boot. Comedy gold.
This next part of Callum’s vows is the one that chokes me up because it’s a reminder of the pain Callum went through for so long and what Ben gave him the courage to do. He tells Ben that before him, it’s like he was put together all wrong – which honestly just breaks my heart, imagining how that must have felt. It implies a brokenness too as Callum tells Ben he picked him up piece by piece and put him back together, just the way he should have been. It’s such simple but powerful imagery which, yes, has me crying as I type this. Then you’ve got Ben’s little humble shrug, like it was nothing. But it’s everything to Callum. Ben will always have done that for him, and he wants Ben to see that.
Glad to see I’m not the only one in tears at this point, as Vi’s got her tissue out. For all her previous annoying jibes, the fact she’s sitting there quietly and full of emotion is lovely to see.
Callum goes on to promise to speak honestly – a vow he can make truthfully now, and serves as a reaction to Ben forgiving him for not doing so earlier – and to listen… sometimes. Another joke to make Ben laugh and lighten the moment, as Ben jokes back that he thought so. I mean… Callum not listening did get them there. And imagine if he’d simply listened when Ben said they couldn’t date, that they didn’t have anything. Sometimes Callum just knows what’s best for them. That, and he’s incredibly resilient and stubborn.
And finally, a promise to remember that he is them, with Ben nodding in agreement. An echo of Ben’s own words about being whole when he’s with Callum – together they are one, and they’re both committed to remembering that.
And maybe the most important line of the scene, a line that brings them full circle – Callum tells Ben that before him, he was so, so lonely. And Ben knows; he was there at Callum’s breaking point, of being so tired of the feeling. And now Callum can tell him he doesn’t feel like that anymore. He doesn’t feel lonely because he isn’t. And instead of going ‘I know’ or ‘that’s right’, Ben just whispers ‘good.’ Which feels like an important distinction, because he knows you can look like you’re not lonely, but feel desperately alone. And he’s so glad Callum doesn’t feel like that, because of him. He wanted to take away Callum’s pain that night, and two years later that’s what he’s done. And what a feeling that must be. He must know now that he’s done an immeasurable amount of good for Callum as Callum’s done for him. He better believe it!
That’s the end of Callum’s vows, and the celebrant gets ready to do the thing (loved Ben’s little ‘yes’ – he knows what’s coming and is super excited to hear it. They look at each other with such excitement as Jeremy confirms the validity of their vows, Ben especially barely able to contain himself. With a final little ‘argh it’s happening’ look at Lexi, who looks so proud and happy, and a cut to a smiley Stuart, who’s caught up in it now despite the Phil worry; they are finally pronounced husband and husband. Ben and Callum Mitchell rise!!
Ben launches himself at Callum (even though he’s the one who audibly says ‘come here’!) as a piano version of Mendelssohn’s Wedding March starts to play and their guests clap. It’s both extremely surreal and the most natural thing ever to see them kissing – exactly a year after their last non socially distant kiss. It’s just like old times with Callum holding Ben’s face in his hands as Ben gets a hand around his neck. Lexi throws the confetti and hits Ben right in the face, pulling them out of their kiss in surprise and delight. You don’t hear it in the aired episode, but in the clip EE posted online, you can hear the celebrant telling them they can now kiss, after they’ve already kissed, which prompts Ben (or Max, who can tell) to say ‘oh now, we were meant to wait for it!’ Which just adds to the imperfect perfection of it all.
Lexi delights in throwing even more confetti over them as Ben tries to bat it away – but he must give up because after a shot of everyone clapping, we cut back to them and they’re kissing again, breaking away after another onslaught of confetti. Neither of them can hide the massive grins though as the revel in it – they’re husbands!

Afterwards, Ben makes it back to the Mitchell house, followed by a grumpy Kathy, who didn’t manage to get a cab in time to catch the ceremony. She grumbles about her new hat, and Ben says he’s sorry, but honestly? I don’t think it really mattered to him that she wasn’t there. To be fair, nothing really mattered to him in the moment other than marrying Callum. He’s not in any rush to make up for her not being there either, excusing himself to go and get changed – presumably planning to get into his suit for the reception.
He doesn’t get further than the stairs though, as Kat arrives (through the permanently unlocked back door) just as Kathy’s asking Ben if Phil was at the wedding. Ben, who, remember, has no idea that Phil knows the truth, wonders why Kat’s there and sarcastically suggests they just hold the reception here.
But a cryptic comment from Kat about not being sure they’d walk out of there gets Ben’s attention, and they have a conversation without saying anything, which is quite the feat. At Kat’s raised eyebrows, Ben seems to know what she’s saying, and asks where his dad is. At Kat’s lack of response and glimpse to Kathy, Ben knows then that Phil knows. He turns to Kathy and asks her to go back to the Albert. She senses something is going on but Ben stops her before she can even ask – instructing her to keep an eye on her son-in-law and not let him out of her sight. With Phil nowhere to be seen, Ben needs to find him before he finds Callum.
Kathy doesn’t look happy about it, but she leaves, and the first thing Ben asks Kat is if the safe was open. Kat thinks he’s talking about money until Ben admits there’s a gun in there. He’s genuinely worried that Phil is going to shoot his husband, and informs Kat they need to find him – now.

At the Albert, Callum’s popping open the champagne to cheers (and Kylie Minogue’s All The Lovers) as Jay takes a picture. The place sounds busy thanks to some more artificial crowd noises (clever.) Billy is a right misery guts in this scene, asking if Ben’s left him already – and Callum informs him he’s just getting changed. He goes to pour the champagne, but then decides he wants Jay to take another picture – he wants it to be perfect. The glow up is immense. Two years ago he was working a shift behind that bar, wearing a Pride shirt and feeling anything but, yearning to be part of that community but too afraid to be seen. And now look at him! Centre of attention at his wedding reception after marrying the man he loves, and looking so comfortable. I’m so proud.
Jay compliments Callum on his perfect vows (aww Jay!), with a grumble from Billy about not breaking them – sorry, like you did? Honestly.
Jay informs Callum that his phone’s ringing and it’s Ben, teasing about him being under the thumb already. But Callum just shrugs it off, saying he’ll call him back. And of course he didn’t answer, it’s classic soap trope, as characters always ignore their phone when it’s imperative someone gets hold of them. After another snipe from Billy about getting round to pouring the champagne, Callum does, with a lovely little neon heart in the background, reflecting the big neon heart we saw at the registry office.
I did not expect to see the cake, but there it is! With a little marzipan Ballum at the top. If we didn’t already know that Ben’s suit was matching, that confirms it. Overalls are much more interesting, but for those who wanted Ben in a suit; well, there he is!
The cake’s an interesting one, and Vi is there to point out it’s not really a cake. It’s more like a mountain of macaroons. But I think it’s cute! When Kathy arrives, she and Vi get acquainted with one another. Vi gets on Kathy’s nerves about her comments on the Albert’s facilities and decor (and poppers in the loo!), appears to rescue it by complimenting her on her looks and how Phil was punching well above his weight, and then asks her to remind Ben how watches work. So, bit of a mixed bag and Kathy’s isn’t sure what to think of her. But she’s a bit distracted anyway, off to have a word with her new son-in-law. Will I ever get tired of hearing that? Probably not.
Callum’s pouring another flute when Stuart approaches him and comments on how he must want to get his packing done, get far away from the place and enjoy the honeymoon. He’s trying to sound casual and not like he’s suggesting Callum run before Phil finds him, but Callum picks up on the odd wording and wonders what he means; is he trying to get out of his best man speech?
But then Stuart starts talking cryptically about telling ‘him’ not to go near Callum, but he isn’t sure this person got the message. Callum asks him who, and Stuart doesn’t answer, but rather tries to explain himself, saying he was trying to defend Callum. And there’s a slow zoom on Callum as the realisation dawns on him. He asks Stuart what he’s done, and it comes out then – Phil’s after him, and he’s on the warpath. Callum doesn’t need to know anymore, and he’s away, not listening to Stuart as he continues to try and justify himself, not wanting Callum to think he deliberately told him. But at least Callum knows that it wasn’t Ben. Kathy shouts after Callum too as he leaves, miserably failing in her duty of keeping an eye on him.

As all this is going on, we finally see Whitney reacting to the news she got at the start of the episode when Honey was looking to get hold of a taxi, that the wedding is back on. Gray’s trying to get her to calm down, that it’s Callum’s choice if he wants to throw his lot in with the Mitchells, she insists that they’ll turn Callum into a monster, that Gray knows that, and he’ll end up dead just like Kush. There’s no telling her that the Mitchells didn’t cause Kush’s death. She dresses it up as caring for Callum after ‘everything he did to her’, but seeing the vindictive way she put doubt into his head the other week, I don’t believe that. She just wants the Mitchells to pay… or Ben, rather. And Gray points this out (hate agreeing with a serial killer, but there you go), that she has a vendetta against Ben because Kush’s death has unlocked residual anger about the Callum situation, has allowed her to wallow in that vengefulness. She sees injustice in the fact that Ben’s got a happy ever after, and thinks he’s involved in taking hers away – twice. But he didn’t turn Callum gay, and he did not kill Kush. But Kush is dead, and blaming someone for that probably makes her feel better. And it’s easy to blame the Mitchells, isn’t it? Especially a Mitchell who’s wronged her before. She’s prepared to go down to the registry office with a speech ready, tea to spill. She’s an angry, desperate woman, and on the day Kush is being laid to rest without her, it feels like the most unfair situation.
Gray tries to assure her that they’re not getting away with anything, and Whitney agrees – they ain’t. But then Gray decides to tell her that he’s searched, but there’s nothing to link the Mitchells to Kush’s death. He’s let go of that bargaining chip to keep Whitney close, sooner that he’d have liked to I think. But I guess he could tell that Whitney wasn’t playing ball with him, isn’t able to keep it inside, so he cuts his losses – time for a new tactic. He wants Whitney to let it go, and maybe get credit as the one to have helped her do that. So he relates to his own experience with Chantelle again (the irony, I know) to say he knows what she’s feeling, that desire to blame someone, but she just needs to accept that things just happen. You know, people just… fall in front of trains at deserted tube stations.
Gray thinks he’s gotten through to her when he suggests she go home and allow room for her grief, and she agrees, and thanks him. But unbeknownst to him, Whitney snaps up his car keys instead. Uh oh.
Callum, outside in the Square now, is leaving Ben a voicemail begging him to pick up, letting him know that Phil knows everything. Of course, now Ben’s not answering! Hopeless. Unfortunately, he rounds the corner after hanging up and walks right into the path of danger. I’m not sure where Phil ended up in the car (maybe he drove to the registry office and then back again because he missed them, which is funny to think about) but he’s there now, out for Callum’s blood. He launches into trying to make Callum feel bad for having Ben protect him, even after everything he did to him. Which was… keep him out of jail. I think Phil is refusing to accept that at the moment though, his tunnel vision telling him that a betrayal of Phil is a betrayal of the whole family. He tells Callum that Ben told him he’d cheated on him, and I’m wondering if Callum thinks what I thought; that it’s Ben doubting Phil would care about that as it’s not about Phil, that it’s just Ben and his hopeless love life, therefore protecting Callum from his wrath. Callum tells Phil he never told Ben to lie to him, but Phil corrects him – Ben didn’t lie, Callum did cheat, on all of them. I get what he means but also it’s so incredibly dramatic, and from the look on Callum’s face even he thinks so.
Phil wonders if it’s still going on, asking Callum if he’s got a wire on him – ignoring Callum’s requests to be heard, taunting him about gathering evidence for murder, as that must be what he’s fishing for to put Phil away – ie his own murder.
Callum tells him he did it for Ben, and he explains the situation – Phil just doesn’t seem to be taking it in, mocking him instead about putting it in his vows and recalling the January confession where Callum said he was stitching his boss up, saying he knew that was a lot of rubbish.
But then Callum is just like – yeah, alright, maybe he wanted his boss to nick Phil, get him away from Ben. And we saw in September that he really couldn’t have cared less about Phil, and he worried about his influence over Ben. Callum even said that to Phil at the time, how it’s his fault Ben gets into trouble so often. Once he accepted the deal he clearly didn’t enjoy the thought of stitching Phil up, but I think he realised once moving into the house that Phil is capable of being better. And he alludes to this when he tells Phil that Ben could be a good man if Phil allowed him to, just for a minute. Maybe that’s all it takes, rather than them being separated.
The blinkers are still on for Phil though, still focused on this betrayal of Callum’s as he moves onto the subject of Jack (my favourite subject, as you know.) He wants to know if Jack was in on it, and Callum says no, he went to him for help – which Phil scoffs at, knowing how much Jack hates the Mitchells, and probably relished the chance to stitch them up (which, you know, he ended up doing once he pretended to sort things out for Callum, by holding onto that USB stick as a bargaining tool.)
Phil then suggests that the pair of them worked to keep Phil away from Raymond, which Callum takes massive offence to as he literally helped him get him back, which wasn’t part of the plan to stitch him up. And he says this to Phil – that he nearly lost his job getting the info on Ellie Nixon, information Phil asked for. And he used Thompson’s log in details to do it, a big risk. Phil wonders if that was just to reel him in, but it wasn’t – Callum just had to pretend to Thompson it was, which is how he orchestrated Ellie handing over Raymond. Callum points out he got his son back, and reminds him that it’s his and Ben’s wedding day – an unspoken plea to let them enjoy it. Phil has no intention of that, and he informs Callum he hasn’t given him his present yet. Ooh, scary.
He doesn’t get further than 6 feet away (for obvious reasons) before Ben comes swooping in, yelling his dad’s name and standing in between them, with Kat turning up not long after him. Phil sees Ben trying to protect Callum again, and tells him it’s between him and Callum. But Ben informs him that Callum’s his husband now (squee) and Phil doesn’t get to choose between them. So if he’s taking Callum on, he’s taking Ben on too.

As Whitney prepares to get into Gray’s car, she hears the arguing going on, hearing Ben and Phil shouting at each other. Phil’s not listening to Ben, but Ben’s determined to be heard. He tries to tell Phil that if he can forgive Callum, so can he, but he doesn’t get to finish his sentence before Phil’s screaming at him to shut up. Even Kat’s on Team Ballum, telling Phil to just listen to him.
Ben tells Phil about the time he told Callum that Jonno isn’t his dad – if you’ll remember, way back before Pride during that iconic cheek kiss hand hold scene. He could see Callum struggling with the idea that his dad couldn’t care less about him, and told him he’s just some bloke that got his mum pregnant. They bonded over their useless dads in that scene, at a time when Ben was struggling to see the good in Phil. But here, he shouts over Phil to tell him that he is more than that. He’s more than what Jonno is capable of, and I think that he maybe realised that during the scene with the guest list, where he learned that Callum didn’t have a single good memory of his dad. Although the scene was about Gavin, Ben knows he’s had good moments with Phil as well, which is more than what Callum can say. Not least in the Arches that very morning, where he told Ben that nothing would make him prouder than seeing Ben getting married that day.
And Ben tells him he wanted him there to see that, see him marrying the man he loves. We finally cut back to them after a bit of camera focus on Whitney, and Callum’s looking at Ben speaking up with tears in his eyes, so proud of his husband. Ben reminds Phil that not long ago he was looking at him with the same look of anger and disgust that he’s looking at Callum with now. Notably, the scene where Phil confronts him over the plan to fleece him, where he tells Ben to get out of his sight – but also it links to Ben’s general feeling that Phil is ashamed of him. There’s a bit of crossover I think, a double meaning in Ben’s words.
As angry as Phil was, Ben points out that he got there – he forgave Ben, he got to the point where he was telling Ben he was proud. He has capacity for forgiveness and change and Ben wants him to see it because he believes it. A lot more powerful than just cutting ties; it’s a huge character growth and maturity moment for Ben as he tries to get Phil there too, telling him it doesn’t have to be like this, a quest for revenge and burning bridges – they can be better. He says ‘we’, letting Phil know that he’s there with him. And a couple of tears call from Callum’s eyes, emotional at the show of strength from his husband. And a gorgeous parallel to his coming out where Ben stood back admiring Callum’s show of strength to his own dad as well. And as that was a big turning point for Callum’s relationship with his dad, I like to think it’s the same thing here – only Phil’s not like Jonno, he, as Ben said, can be better.
It looks like Phil is listening, and might just be taking Ben’s words onboard. His eyes are wet, and there’s a pause. However, they’re interrupted by headlights and a squeal of acceleration – from a person who possibly needed some of that advice. Whitney, who’s decided in her blind rage to step on the gas and drive through them all, knocking into one unfortunate person at full force. And though it’s meant to be a mystery as to who it was, I think we already know from the clothes (and BBC iPlayer’s audio description feature) – it’s Kat. And the irony is clear – big bad Phil Mitchell starting to come round just as good hearted grief-stricken Whitney, who accused the Mitchells of murder, trying to run them over and ending up hitting someone who she’s actually quite close to, who in her eyes wasn’t behind Kush’s death. And after using Gray’s car to do it, what are the repercussions for him? If any, because he’s literally gotten away with murder three times now?

So there we are, quite the duff duff to end on. Will Kat getting run over do for Phat what Ben getting shot did for Ballum? (Probably.) What’s going on in Phil’s head now that he got a talking to from Ben? Roll on tonight!
I have to include these lovely post-episode promo pics. It’s so nice to have these! And not only that, but this special behind the scenes video with Max and Tony taking part in a Ballum quotes quiz is everything. The only sad thing is that Callum is still ‘Halfway Highway’ in the credits. I wonder if they’re planning on changing it now that they’re husbands, suppose we’ll have to wait and see!
